Jazzanova

Jazzanova is a German Berlin-based DJ/producer collective consisting of Alexander Barck, Claas Brieler, Jürgen von Knoblauch, Roskow Kretschmann, Stefan Leisering, and Axel Reinemer. The group is one of the foremost proponents of the nu-jazz, chillout and jazz house styles of music associated with record labels such as Compost Records and Sonar Kollektiv. They have also experimented with Latin Jazz, which can be heard on the song "Tres Bien".

They also have a side-project, "Extended Spirit". They also gained recognition as innovative remixers for a vast number of acts such as Marschmellows, Ian Pooley, Incognito, 4 Hero, M.J. Cole and Masters At Work to name but a few.

L T J Bukem

LTJ Bukem is the stage name used by the drum and bass musician, producer and DJ Danny Williamson (born 1967, London). He and his record label Good Looking Records are most associated with the jazzy, atmospheric side of drum and bass music.
Williamson was raised in Watford, England. He was trained as a classical pianist and discovered jazz fusion in his teenage years, having a jazz funk band at one stage. However by the late 1980s he decided to become a DJ, and gained fame in the rave scene of the early 1990s.

He then dipped in visibility as a producer, with his work running legendary London club night Speed and his record label Good Looking Records coming to the fore. A series of compilations entitled Logical Progression highlighted a jazz and ambient influenced side of drum and bass. The style became widely known as intelligent drum and bass, although Bukem himself was opposed to the moniker, unhappy with the implication that other styles of jungle were not intelligent.

Gilles Peterson

Gilles Peterson (born c. 1964) is an influential DJ and
record-label owner from London, UK.

Through his labels Acid Jazz and Talkin' Loud
he has been associated with the careers
of countless well-known artists of the 1990s
such as Erykah Badu and Tony Rich.

He is also well known as a radio DJ: he used to have
a radio show on London's Kiss FM dance music
station, but was recruited to the BBC's youth-oriented
Radio 1 in 1998.

Peterson is known for his eclectic musical selections.
Though not as "anything goes" as the late John Peel,
he plays anything from dub and reggae
through jazz, nu-jazz, soul, neo soul, R&B
to drum and bass, house, broken beat, hip-hop and Jazz-funk.
